Apprenticeships

Health & Social Care Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a great way to begin, or build on, a rewarding career. You’ll have on-the-job training as well as training. There are many career and training options in health and social care and what you’ll learn will depend on your role, this could include care worker, healthcare or nursing assistant.

If you are Interested in becoming a community care worker or healthcare assistant, Chosen Care offers intermediate and advanced Health & Social care Apprenticeships for you to step in at Social Care Sector.

If you currently have team members in your workplace that require or would like to undertake national Health & Social Care qualifications, then our dedicated specialist tutors will deliver the training to your team in your workplace.

We will recruit Apprentices for you

If you don’t have a team member or employee that can take an Apprenticeship, then we have a team of dedicated recruitment specialists who will find a suitable Apprentice or Apprentices for your team. We’ll advertise the role for free on our own website and on various recruitment websites and undertake the whole recruitment process on your behalf.

Once we have found your ideal Apprentice, we will organise their transition into their new role and sign them up for their Health & Social Care Apprenticeship.

Health & Social Care Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship

One of the best things about an Apprenticeship in health & social care is that you get to work in the healthcare environment straight away. You get to experience:

  • A front line role in a variety of formal care settings

  • Earn while you learn

 When you successfully complete your Health & Social Care Intermediate Level Apprenticeship you will qualify with a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, as well as Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths & English. Health & Social Care Advanced level 3 Apprenticeship

If you are interested in undertaking your Health & Social Care Advanced Level Apprenticeship, then you already know that you love work as a health or social care worker. You really enjoy working with people, you’re passionate about helping those that really need to depend on you and you’re keen to advance to the next level and become a senior level healthcare worker or social work assistant.

 You also know which areas of health & social care interest you. This Advanced Level Apprenticeship lets you develop your skill sets and enjoy on the job training in either senior healthcare roles, as a social work assistant or as a family support worker.

Job Description

  • Provide Leadership and management to ensure services are delivered in accordance with the statutory requirements and in line with local authority social service department’s policy and procedure
  • Determine staffing, financial, material and other short and long-term needs
  • Plans work schedules, assign tasks and delegate responsibility to social service staffs
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance with a view to improving social service provision
  • Study and advises upon changes in legislation that impact upon social service provision
  • Liaise with representatives of other relevant agencies

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Minimum 3 Years Domiciliary Care experience – Managing & delivering quality service
  • Level 6 QCF / NQF in Health and Social Care
  • Willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date
  • Excellent organisational skills – ability to plan and organise workloads effectively so that customers receive the services that they expect and are safe
  • Ability to maintain clear and accurate written records and follow statutory reporting procedures
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with customers, their families, CCG staff and other health and social care professionals.
  • Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills

Accounts Manager

Job Description

  • Develop and manage the business accounts, book keeping and produce monthly Income statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow and statement of retained earnings.
  • Take overall responsibility for the efficient and effective operations of business accounts and drive clarity around budgeting
  • Re-negotiates payment terms, rates with Local authority, Commissioners and NHS contacts and initiates legal actions to recover dents from clients as required.
  • Carries out and or supervisee general accounting and administrative workers
  • Work with the Director on the Investment strategy

Essential Criteria

  • Detailed financial modelling skills and minimum three years’ experience
  • Level 6 QCF / NQF in Finance
  • Highly motivated and excited to work in team
  • Working knowledge in Intuit, Super pay and Pay Dashboard

Job Description

  • Create engaging web pages including graphics, animation, icons, infographics and functionality to maximise visual effectiveness and facilitate appropriate access.
  • Develop the website and applications, Include machine learning, Chat bot and Deep learning concepts.
  • Designs and develops web interfaces for rational database systems. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Establish methods to ensure appropriate website security and recovery, In compliance with General Data Protection Regulations
  • Write and Publish content for the company website in line with branding guidelines

Essential Criteria

  • Has demonstrable web design and typography chops with a strong, diverse portfolio containing at least 5 examples relevant to this role
  • Level 6 QCF / NQF in IT
  • Is highly skilled in industry standard design applications
  • Although coding is minimum required, should have a good understanding of what is technically feasible
  • Has a good understanding of current Microsoft Chabot and IBM Watson
